Volcanoes across Lake Atitlán, clear afternoon, lanchas at the pier
Volcanoes across Lake Atitlán, clear afternoon, lanchas at the pier

Tried a place closer to the pier around eight. Seventy pesos for a flat white. Still looking.

Walked up through the municipal market. Bought a nieve from a woman with a cart near the entrance. Guanábana. Ten pesos. Ate it standing there.

A lancha was loading near the pier. I watched it pull out.

Went back to the room around eleven. Read until the heat dropped. Went out again around two. Found a comedor a block off Santander. Pollo with rice and beans. Fifty pesos. I ate them.

Walked the shore path west after. The volcanoes were clear. Came back around five. Bought water from a tienda near the corner. Sat on the steps near the pier for a while.

Back to the room by six. The door still sticks.
