Stopped in Comitán. I bought a torta and water at a stand near the depot. The bread was dry. Forty pesos.
Border crossing took an hour. I sat in the van while the driver went inside with the passports. Guatemala side was quicker. We changed vans at La Mesilla. Same company, different driver.
The road dropped through pine hills and then climbed again. Stopped twice more but I don't know what for. I read until the light was bad and then just looked out.
